About Traditional Balinese House

a traditional house complex with ancient Balinese architecture that still looks old-fashioned and very original. This traditional house is located in Batuan Gianyar.

All building structures, layout and supporting facilities are still the same as decades ago. Everything is maintained as the original. Batuan Village is a village that is famous as an art village which gave birth to many artistic creativities in the form of sculptures, paintings, egg painting, stone carvings, and others. Entering the house area, you will be greeted by an angkul-angkul (gate), then inside the house area there is a bale daje (the northern part of the building) which is still very antique and ancient. Building materials come from clay molds that are not burned, cement floors, and roofs of reeds.

Entering the kitchen building, we can find ancient stoves (fire stoves) that are still actively used by homeowners. This ancient house is an example of Balinese houses of the past. Now it’s very difficult to find a house like that.

About Batuan Temple

BATUAN Temple that is very beautiful and artistic. The temple that stands majestically on the north side of the Administrative Village Batuan is located in Banjar Tengah, Batuan Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency, Bali.
