Twin Lakes Jungle Trekking Package
Twin Lakes is located in Wanagiri Village, Buleleng Regency. Travelers wanting to experience the wild rainforests of Bali’s central highlands will make the trek to Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. The two crater lakes are located within the caldera of extinct Bedugul volcano. They were a single lake until 1800; a landslide separated the lake into two lakes, and a narrow land bridge of less than a mile width divides them.
Located at altitudes of nearly 4000 feet, this is the heart of Bali’s farming area, with coffee plantations, vegetable fields and traditional rice paddies covering the nearby slopes. Lake Tamblingan is important in the religious life of the local villagers who earn their livelihoods by fishing, farming and ferrying tourists and the devout by dugout canoe to the 3 temples located near the lake.
What are you explore at twin lake?
The trek is started from wanagiri green hill to the deep rain forest_Tamblingan, the forest itself is considered as one of the protected forest on the island.We will be entering a lush jungle area with amazing flora and giants old trees,shurbs,animals such; macaque monkeys,squirell and any various of local birds.Then we will walk along the lake side situated in the caldera of an extinct volcano. Up to 30 minutes session exploring the lake by traditional Canoe or pedau is included in this trip.
Tamblingan Lake
This lake is ideal for Jungle Trekking Adventure because it is very amazing with the rain forest including flora and fauna observation. Beside of that, many local visitors are doing camping program or outdoor team building while enjoy the beautiful nature. Here you can also see the local residents use the small traditional boat which is called Perahu to cross the lake or do fishing.
Buyan Lake
Buyan Lake is situated in the high land with hill and rain forest surround it. Since the location in the plateau area, the fog is usually blanketing the area. This lake can be seen from the top of hill which is called Asah Gobleg. Asah Gobleg itself is the name of the countryside located on the top of hill where the villagers live with agricultural life.
LOCAL LUNCH EXPERIENCE
A unique lunch experience at a local farmer house is included in this walk because mostly all of the food ingredients are taken from the plants that growing in their field and supposed to be organic(free from any pestiside)
